Serious Sewage Backup Causes Water Damage in Wayne Kitchen

A sewage spill in an upstairs bathroom in this Wayne property also affected the kitchen below, as seen in the Before Photos. The contaminated water seeped through the floor above into the kitchen ceiling and deteriorated the sheetrock to the point it collapsed onto the cabinets and floor in the room. SERVPRO technicians scoped the work-site area and determined the water ran behind the cabinets above the stove, which also required removal so the wall could get dried and disinfected. As seen in the After Photo, the techs have expertly removed portions of the wall, ceiling, and cabinets damaged beyond restoration. Before the kitchen can get reused for preparing meals again, the techs needed to sanitize the surfaces to ensure they were clean for reuse.
