Basking Ridge Home Has Water Damage From Toilet Backup

SERVPRO received a call to handle water damage cleanup in this Basking Ridge home. A toilet backed up and spilled a large amount of water in the room that saturated the carpet in the room shown in the Before Photo and directly outside the home. It is difficult to detect from the photo, but the bathroom issue occurred on the floor above. The water ran through the floor joists and ruined the ceiling, finally collecting on the carpet below. Because this type of water is hazardous to come into contact with, SERVPRO technicians removed the portion of the ceiling that contained wicked water and the carpet. The furnishings in the room were removed to an area outside the worksite for cleaning and disinfection.
