Upper Saddle River Room Needs Large Amount of Cleanup After Water Damage
A pipe break in this Upper Saddle River home delivered a large area of water damage that needed cleanup. The time gap between the event and the cleanup allowed seepage to occur into the subfloor and the carpet required removal to dry the area. SERVPRO technicians using moisture detection equipment found water migrated behind the baseboards and wicked into the sheetrock in certain areas. The techs took off the baseboards and removed only the ruined portions of the walls to open up the area for drying. The furniture got moved to another area, but the techs covered the wall-mounted television with heavy plastic to allow it to remain in the room during the mitigation without any potential for damage.
