Warren Storm Damage to a Vacant House
The floodwaters have receded, but the damage is just underway in this unoccupied house in the Warren area. The moisture and extremely high interior humidity (no climate control) allowed mold colonies to dig in deeply ruining the lower sections of drywall. The Black Water with the mold meant a "flood cut" was to begin the cleanup and restoration process. The carpet, pad, sheetrock, and trim are gone from the After Photo. Our SERVPRO WRT technicians dispose of the contaminated materials as prescribed by local codes and OSHA regarding limiting any cross-contamination. The exposed studs can also be sprayed with an antimicrobial product to inhibit the growth of new mold colonies. We document and submit the results of the process to substantiate that our drying goals were reached and the structure is now ready for a rebuild. Trust SERVPRO to do it right, the first time.
