Watchung Storm Damage Brings Roof Leak and More
This Watchung home office had what looked like a small amount of water damage from a roof leak. The homeowner had placed a bowl under the small area of the ceiling that had deteriorated and dripped water onto the carpet below. Upon arrival, SERVPRO technicians put up temporary tarping securely on the roof to stop any further entry from rain and found significant wicking throughout the ceiling and removed the wet sheetrock to open up the area for complete drying. Fortunately through the use of their moisture detection equipment, the technicians did not find any evidence that water entered the walls and the carpet could get dried in place after extraction efforts removed the majority of the water that came through the ceiling.
